Athabasca Minerals Inc. is a Canadian mineral exploration and management company with head offices in Edmonton, Alberta. The Company's focus is to explore, develop and manage mineral resources that exist in north-eastern Alberta.
The Company currently operates the Susan Lake Gravel Pit, the largest open pit gravel operation in Canada, and hold Alberta Metallic and Industrial Mineral Permits for more than 479,240 hectares (1,184,228 acres) of land in the Fort McMurray region. Potential resources on these lands include a wide variety of industrial raw materials such as sand, gravel, silica sand, limestone, salt, uranium, rare earth elements, lithium, dolomite and diamonds.
